Founded in 2011, Bajra Technologies is a technology-centric firm, with offices in New York, NY (USA) and Kathmandu, Bagmati (Nepal). Shreyan started his career in consulting, having worked at Arcadia Solutions and McKinsey and Co., focusing on healthcare technology, strategy, and analytics. He then transitioned into product management at Explorys, a start-up that was eventually acquired by IBM to form IBM Watson Health. Here, Shreyan played a crucial role in expanding and managing a multi-million dollar AI-driven Software-as-a-Service product portfolio around value-based care, population health management, and payment reform. Shreyan received his AB, BE, and MEM degrees from Dartmouth College and is also a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt as well as an Albert Schweitzer "Fellow for Life".
After obtaining a BS in Computer Science from Brown University, Gaurub proceeded to work at Cisco Systems from 2008 to 2010. He left Cisco and co-founded Bajra along with Nishant in 2011. In 2018, he joined hands with Shreyan to found a technology company focused on delivering technologies that would enable a better patient experience. His hobbies include jazz piano, scuba diving, and sitting on beaches.
Nishant is an experienced entrepreneur and an engineer that few can match in terms of being a perfectionist when it comes to software development and the role of technology in our lives. Always learning about the next innovation and trying to find out how to improve what we already have, Nishant's curiosity fuels his approach toward continuous learning and improvement. A graduate of Tribhuwan University's Institute of Engineering program, Nishant holds a BE in Computer Engineering and is also the co-founder of Bajra and CEO of Bajra Technologies Pvt. Ltd. In his limited free time, Nishant also experiments with creating keto-friendly recipes and treats.
With a flaring passion for software development and diligence at his core, Degendra joined Bajra in 2014 to pursue his lifelong dream of making new strides in automation and processes. As a self-starter and a quick learner, he found himself at the heart of countless projects that he transcended by adopting a quality-over-quantity mentality. Throughout his time at Bajra, Degendra discovered his innate ability to inspire his peers to achieve collective goals to sheer perfection. As one of the office favorites, he was swiftly promoted to VP of Engineering where he thrives to protect the intellectual property of customers using cutting-edge technologies. Degendra holds a Bachelor's in CSIT from Patan Multiple Campus (TU) and is wrapping up his MSc IT in data science with hopes of starting a business intelligence department.
Ankur is an avid tech enthusiast who loves delving into new technology and innovation. His drive for tech solutions and innovation led him to Bajra in 2014 after completing his Bachelor of Computer Science and Information Technology from St. Xavier’s College. Ankur’s excellence in solution delivery and his easy-to-mesh-with nature enabled him to promptly rise as a prominent figure at Bajra, where he now serves as a Vice President. Ankur is loved by his peers as he is the go-to guy for any hindrance you might come across in your codes or when you need to whine about the food. Apart from being a computer wizard, Ankur is a devoted foodie who ventures into the city looking for of heavenly food.
A passionate and skilled software engineer at heart, Aayush is the Director of Solution Delivery who joined Bajra in 2016 after graduating from Tribhuvan University with a Bachelor of Computer Science and Information Technology. He has been involved in various projects at Bajra, from web development, mobile development, and data engineering to solution delivery. Bati is intrigued by exploring new technologies and solving complex problems with innovative solutions. He is a valued member of the Bajra family, as he always strives to deliver high-quality products that meet the client’s needs and expectations.
Starting as a Software Developer in 2014 and becoming a Project Manager in 2020, Ashok is currently the Director of Engineering, overseeing the engineering team, managing the project lifecycle, and ensuring we follow the best practices and standards. He has been involved in web development projects using Ruby on Rails and Angular technologies, delivering high-quality solutions to clients across various domains. Holding a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Ashok has always been passionate about learning and implementing new technologies for his and organizational growth.
Nadi R.L. Malla is a legal expert with a comprehensive background in diverse facets of law, including corporate governance, employment regulations, intellectual property rights, contract law, family law, property law, and dispute resolution. She is the General Counsel at Bajra, joining on a retainer basis in 2019 and becoming a part of the in-house legal team in 2021. Having completed her Bachelor's in Psychology from Colby Sawyer College, USA, in 2016 and an MA LLB from Nepal Law Campus, T.U., in 2016, she specializes in Corporate Law and Family Law. Nadi founded her law firm, Malla Law Associates, in 2019. In her free time, she enjoys watching movies and traveling.
Nishesh has been with Bajra Technologies since 2019. He received his PhD in Telecommunication Engineering from SRM University, Chennai, India, where his research focused on 5G communications. With a keen interest in innovative solutions and green technologies, he has experience working as a consultant on various international projects in the ASEAN region and has written for several scientific journals. He is currently engaged in efforts to develop homegrown technologies designed and specially tailored to meet the requirements of people in developing countries, which are, consequently, affordable and accessible to them. His hobbies include poetry, percussion, writing, and electronics.
Ruby Shakya joined Bajra in 2022 and has been instrumental in hiring and retaining the best talent in the industry as an Associate Director of HR and Operations. With an MBA from Pokhara University, she has extensive experience in Human Resource Management and is skilled in interpersonal communication, emotional intelligence, and data analysis. Ruby is passionate about creating a positive and inclusive culture at Bajra that fosters innovation and collaboration. Ruby enjoys travelling, reading, learning new skills, and collecting coins in her free time. She is always eager to meet new people and learn from their experiences.
As the Operations Manager at Bajra Technologies, Smile Shakya ensures everything runs smoothly and efficiently. She has been with us since September 2019 and has brought her business administration and management expertise to the team. She has an MBS degree from Caspian Valley College and is adept at negotiation, managing, and communication. Smile lives by the motto of "Strive for Excellence, Embrace Change" and constantly challenges herself to grow and evolve. She loves sports and travelling and likes to explore new places and cultures.
Rakshya Koirala believes in "Sculpting Success with Every Stroke: Where Passion Meets Purpose." She is an IT graduate from Islington College who joined Bajra in 2022. Always curious and eager to learn new things in the fast-changing IT world, she excels in communication, bridging the gap between technology and its users. Rakshya is also a passionate painter who expresses her creativity through vibrant colours and loves to travel and experience different cultures and perspectives. She is a versatile and dynamic professional who combines technical skills with a strategic vision and aims to contribute positively to the technology sector with her innovative and collaborative approach.
